High School means high school. At Immersion, we offer a school and language stay program that allows you to study for a term, semester or school year in a foreign country.
The student will thus have the opportunity to perfect their language skills thanks to their life within the school, the community, the host family or student residence.
Furthermore, the high school student will have the opportunity to experience a different approach to teaching methods, broaden their horizons and develop on a more personal level.

What are the advantages of the Immersion High School program?
Perfect the language of the country so that at the end of the program the student speaks and writes like a native.
Validate the school year; upon return to their country of origin, the student can validate their studies without losing their school year, with the agreement of their school principal (except France, which does not yet accept validation of years spent abroad)

What are the age limits to participate in an Immersion High School program?
Generally speaking, High School programs are aimed at students between 14 and 18 years old, but this also depends on the destination country and the program.
What are the prerequisites to participate in the Immersion High School program?
In addition to age, it is preferable to have good academic performance and an intermediate level of the language of the chosen country. However, what is essential is that the student is in good health, adaptable, responsible, autonomous and with a positive attitude towards adapting to a new culture.
What is the duration of the Immersion High School program?
The program will be all the more beneficial and profitable if the student resides in the chosen country for a full school year. However, the student has the possibility to study for a single semester or, depending on destinations, a single term. In some cases, the student can even stay for several years in order to validate all high school years and obtain the secondary school diploma abroad.
Is it possible to validate one's year abroad and continue studies in France without losing the school year?
Unfortunately, validation of studies abroad is not yet possible in France.
Where will I live during my school year?
Depending on the program, destination country and student's objective, two accommodation options are offered:
HOST FAMILY
Host families are rigorously selected and chosen based on the profile of the student participating in the program. This option is best suited for a student seeking a true cultural immersion, to get to know local living habits and fully perfect the language of the chosen country.
STUDENT RESIDENCE
This option is only available in private schools and is aimed at students who want to focus on studies and seek to live with students of their age and similar socioeconomic level.

What is the program registration process? When should I contact IMMERSION?
If the student is already 14 years old or older, contact the Immersion High School Program team by filling out the Application Form.
Our specialist will contact you to conduct a short interview to analyze the student's profile, the family's objectives and financial means in order to propose the ideal program. There are multiple variants regarding programs, destination countries, prices and duration.
We send you the contract containing the details of the stay, costs, obligations and procedures to follow to prepare the student's file. Note that we always ensure that our programs are more financially accessible, which is why we offer price reductions to students who register one year in advance.
After receiving the contract, application file and first payment, the Immersion team will begin procedures to organize the student's stay.
